I'm not sure whether it's functioning as it should. There is a small amount of water that collects at the back of one of the middle shelves. There does appear to be some kind of hole in the back of the shelf that I'm thinking could be a drain hole. But, this unit doesn't have a freezer compartment so I don't know why it'd need to defrost.
