I plugged it in easily to both the hard drive and the motherboard and everything worked fine. Dinging it one star because it's overpriced and the only option in the store. Dinging it a second star because the right angle connector is backwards from all the others I've ever bought. It makes the cable have an extra bend to go down from the drive to the mobo.

Installation was difficult, as you had to put on the data cable first, then the power cable. However, the mold of the female end interferes with the data cable. It is possible to make a power connection, but I doubt it will last long. Take a look at my picture.

I needed one more and figured this one would be the same as the MSI SATA cables and it is not. They run downward connected, this one runs upward connected. Not a good look, and for the single cable price it is just a convenience charge when these are sold in batches of four online for about what this cost.
