Used to install an SSD drive to the desktop. No problems however had to force one side in because of the surrounding rubber tip.

Purchased this along with the SSD and it works as it should no issues at all with the cable

I was adding a new hard drive to my computer and needed a new ATA cable fast. It was there at Best Buy when I needed it.

We are happy with the purchase my son was doing a upgrade on his computer and he needed one. Computer is up and running just fine.

This cable was easy to install, had plenty of length, and worked as expected.

Not much not to like about the product. Product worked as expected with not issues. Product (in my case) was as shown in picture and not black.

FIrst I purchased this out of desperation because there was nothing else available and no computer store near me. So I would not recommend buying this if you have some time and can look elsewhere. There are 2 design flaws to this cable that I've found, one is not a deal breaker but the second one is. Maybe this is just my case and how the hard drive has to be installed but when using this cable, the right angle connector is upside down. So when I plug it in, the cable goes up and then has to bend back to connect to the motherboard. I don't know if this is due to the hard drive installation being upside down or what but it is annoying. The second flaw has to do with the connectors not being square and a little wider than the actual SATA connectors on the hard drive and motherboard. It works fine for the motherboard because the ports have a little bit of a gap between them but on the hard drive is another story. When I plug in the data cable and the power cable, it is very difficult to get both installed. I had to force it due to the little bump out on this cable. I hope this doesn't cause any issues but I'm curious why it was built that way. I have bought several other SATA cables from other sources and they fit perfectly because the connector head is square and not this little oblong thing that this cable has.

Worked fine for the price. There was very slight difficulty plugging in the connectors but nothing that would cause me not to buy again.

Purchased 10/3/19, Reviewed 10/31/19 I've been using this cable, the ONLY SATA cable my local Best Buy had in stock, for about a month with my new 6TB WD Black 7200rpm HDD. Which did not come with a cable. This drive is supposed to be capable of 6Gb/s transfer rates. I'm observing far slower performance. I need to find a better cable. This cable works but it's creating a severe bottleneck. If I were using this cable on an OS HDD I would be very upset and it would be unusable for a professional or even gaming system. Since I'm using the drive only for backup it's not such a big deal. I can queue up several GB of data to copy and go do something else for a while. But it is annoying. I recommend only using this cable as a piece of emergency or troubleshooting hardware and I'm very disappointed that Best Buy would only physically stock such a slow cable in the store. Especially considering the rest of the hardware in the store is, to one degree or another, "performance" gear. To stock this SATA 2.0 cable is mystifying to me. I would give it 1 1/2 stars if I could.

I bought this to add an internal 3 terabyte hard drive and the straight connector would not fit. I installed it about a month ago and I am extremely pleased.

When I recently purchased a second hard drive for my desktop I was told by two separate sales associates (in the computer area) that they could not identify or locate this item in the store. Fortunately I came across a third associate who knew what I was asking for -"SATA data cable for the hard drive" (that I was holding). The cable works fine when installed in the desktop.

sata 3 cable works as it is supposed to, does the job, needed the cable, and best buy had it on the shelf, not the best price, but it was in stock.

Turns out my new computer already had a SATA cable installed and waiting for a new hard drive to be installed.

I bought this cable and then ended up not needing it. Keeping just for a spare. Wish it was black though, not too keen on the light blue cable.

Do exactly what they are advertised I noticed changing out my SATA cables the difference I got back in speed

I have no problems installing this on my motherboard. I do wish the cable was angled in the opposite directions on the 90 degree connector.

Great SATA cords. Very good value for the price as well. Not much else to say but they're great.

Haven't had any problems with this at all. A month later I forgot it was even in my computer. It does it's job!

But it was just a bit longer than I needed, and I was unable to find any qualifying connector which was shorter, or thinner. A tight fit, but worked well.
