That was the beginning and end of its usefulness. As others have noted, the connectors have unnecessary nubs on their sides that prevent plugging in the SATA power cable to the device (Intel SSD in my case). As a result of this *critical* design flaw, I can only rate these cables as junk. The only possible way to use them is to either Dremel down the nubs (goodbye warranty) or limit this cable to devices that *do not* have the power cable immediately besides the data cable (DVD drive?). A macro image of the connector alongside a proper connector would probably be all you need to know, but I already returned the Insignia cables...sorry.
