I am not willing to attribute this to the cable due to my poor placement of the intended HDD, however I cannot rule the cable out as I have not used it on another drive since and I have no way of knowing whether or not the said HDD was going bad in the first place or not. Overall unsure if I would recommend, as of this second though I would not.

The metal clips to lock in the connectors are difficult to use on my motherboard as the connections are 2 side by sidé vertical.

Pricey, but they work

The only reason I bought these was because I was in the middle of a build and it was too late to go to my regular computer parts store (where these sell for 1/3 the price) before they closed.
