Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I was in a pinch for a Sata Cable, and Best Buy was a quick stop to get one, but unfortunately this turned out to be a temporary stopgap and I still have to order a different one. If you have something fast like an SSD, this will throttle your transfer speeds. It's easy to miss, but this cable tops out at 150MB/s, which is well short of what you should be getting with an SSD.

Best Buy sells you a single one of extremely low build quality: the locking pin broke during regular use, causing the hard drive to disconnect. My OS now doesn't see the hard drive, and while I might be able to salvage the useability of the hard drive, it's ridiculous that I'm having to do this because the locking pin randomly fell off. This product was not marked as open box or previously used, so there's absolutely 0 explanation for this incredibly poor build quality other than just that: an absolute dereliction of quality. I will not be buying any computer hardware, components, or accessories from Best Buy ever again, unless they're made by a trusted third party.
