However, the bottom of my rice often gets burned through very quickly (usually make my rice midday and eat it at dinner), so that's kind of annoying since I am constantly scraping off the bottom.

The "timer" doesn't give you a countdown. The lights just spin in a circle while the rice is cooking so you have no idea how much longer it will take to finish. The numbers inside the pot are VERY hard to see so you have to strain your eyes just to see where the fill line is. Other than those flaws, it does its job with cooking rice.

Soggy Rice

I make pasta in it using the rice setting and add broth & sauce & pre-cooked meatballs-excellent! I also love the slow cooker option w/ability to adjust time-I use frozen chicken & add rice, or frozen chicken, stove top stuffing mix & a cream of soup - if raw chicken, you can slow cook for 2 hrs on hi-unfortunately, it has some dents from me dropping it but it still works & does a great job of steaming my fresh or frozen veggies when making chicken & rice dinners-great size for me, a single person with leftovers taken for lunch the next day.
