Doesn't charge airpods

This will not in any way charge the airpods from Apple in a case or without the case. Anyone else have this issue is it a bad batch or it just does not work? Its the main reason for purchasing this so we are pretty bummed. I thought we would be free of cord clutter. We ordered 2 for both kids neither works in their airpods bummed

Very Sporadic performance

Sometimes it works, sometimes you come back and the phone is no longer charging even after making sure you placed it on the charger correctly. And just to be sure that it was seated correctly, I will simply unplug and plug it back in to see if it resumes charging, and it does, proving that it was seated on the charger correctly
