Wanted a charger for my Samsung Galaxy Tablet S6 and told by Best Buy staff this would work. It doesn't. Discarded original packaging so didn't try to return.

The Insignia 20W USB-C compact charger is a solid upgrade from the standard charger that is included with iPads and the charger which used to come with iPhones. The old iPhone charger was a bit smaller than this insignia model but only 5W, although it doesn't flip the plug closed which makes it not quite as small in your bag. The modern iPad charger is quite a bit larger and also lacks the flip close design for the plugs. In use, I don't notice much difference in charging an iPad 9th gen with the Insignia USB-C adapter, which is a good thing. For an iPhone 13, the 20W charger is a modest improvement from a larger 18W dual port charger that I have used for a few years. I prefer to keep my devices in the middle 25-75% range and it seems to take about 30 minutes to do that, which is expected for a 20W charger. With a Galaxy S22 Ultra, it detects it as a fast charger so I assume it's charging at 15W. It's noticeably slower than the 25W or 45 W chargers I have, but again, that's to be expected. It did handle the full 10W for the charger of my new Watch 5 Pro. Overall, this is an easy addition to my bag give the tiny amount of space and great charging speed with my iPad.

Used a handful time and does not work! I do not trust this brand and I will never buy it again

I tested this on a number of different cell phones and it worked well for everything I tried. It fast charged everything from a Samsung S20 to an old Motorola Z Force. It doesn't seem so heat up to much while charging for a while which is surprising for it's small size. Speaking of the size it's only slightly larger than my older 5w chargers. The USB-C port is convenient for modern devices but having a USB-A would be nice for older things. This is going to be my carry around charger so it's not to much of a problem. The size is perfect to just drop in a bag and use when needed. I'm impressed by how small they made this charger and still can charge a phone in a couple hours. I did not test it on any Apple products but I'm guessing it would work really well since it's marketed toward that. I hope it holds up well and from my other Insignia products I'm guessing it will. I'm glad I got this and I hope it will work as I planned as a travel charger. I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade to a faster, smaller charger.

I really enjoyed getting this new charger for my new iPhone! This charger is approximately the same size as the old "apple charger cubes" but the prongs to plug it in will retract so that it travels well in a pocket or bag. I found that my phone charged very quickly using this charger and like that is has the usb-c female port which matches the newest iPhone cords that come with the phone. As always, it's best to use Apple-approved accessories for your items in order to avoid damaging the product. This cube has what it takes to deliver the juice to your batteries and keep you connected to all of your friends via your phone. Even with a new phone/battery, if you play a lot of games or media on your phone, or have inconsistant wifi, you will likely need to charge it more frequently. This Insignia compact charger is the perfect accessory for you since it is small and easy to carry with you, AND it charges the phone so darn fast! I plan on keeping one at work and one at home so that I will always be able to keep the phone charged.

I can’t have enough of these types of chargers with all of the devices that I have. This is definitely one of the better ones because the plugs fold into the block to be as compact as it can possibly be. This Insignia brand plug is pretty much the same size as my name brand one, and the heft feels right for the plug. Good for Best Buy to have a really decent house brand product. This charger is for a USB-C cord, whether it is to charge an iPhone with a Lighting end or my iPad with a USB-C to USB-C type cord. It gets a tiny bit warm when in use but not hot, which is well within the normal range. This charger also charges quickly, as long as your cable is also well made. I have had chargers similar to this one that actually were really slow to charge, so I knew what to look out for. The price point is right in there as lower than the Apple product and even lower than other name brand ones. I'm telling you that this is a good one and I wouldn't mind stocking up with a few more because I know they are good.

This is a solid 20-watt fast charger. It is compatible with every device that can be charged via USB you own, as long as you have the correct cable. With capable devices, you can charge at up to 20 watts; on top of iPhones and iPads, Android devices that support the USB-PD standard can charge at up to 20 watts as well. My iPhone 11 and my wife's iPhone 12 both charge at the 20-watt rating. My son's iPad charges at 12 watts. Using an USB-C to USB micro-B cable, you can also power Roku, Fire, and Android TV devices at up to 11 watts. The biggest positive with this charger is it doesn't have a power indicator light, which means it doesn't double as a nightlight. The USB-C port feels very solid, and the folding prongs both easily fold out and don't feel flimsy. The only thing I would have liked to see with the charger is an included USB-C to Lightning cable, but most people buying this adapter will already have their USB-C to Lighting cable that came with their iPhone. All in all, a solid charger.

The Insignia 20W USC type C charger comes with foldable prongs. The make storing the charger easier in you case. The Insignia charger charges my iPhone just as fast as the OEM charger that came with the phone. Having a spare charger is always a good idea and this one makes the grade. The charger has only one USB-C slot. It did not come with a cord, but you should already have one thus keeping you cost down. This unit comes with a one-year warranty for both parts and labor. Included in the small box is also overload protection for your piece of mind when you plug it in and leave it. The packaging states it is compatible with iPhone 14 and the Pro and Plus along with the Pro Max. Along with various Apple watches and AirPods. The 20 Watts output along with a lightning charging cable will have your device charges in no time. I now charge my iPhone in forty minutes or less. Keeping in mind that you can charge all your USB-C type items without any problem. This compact charger can hand them all.

Had my phone running hot……..don’t work on apple iphones

This Insignia USB-C compact wall charger is advertised as being a “fast” charger. In my experience, this proved to be true. I bought a new cell phone within the last month, and it came with what is described as a fast charger that looks much like this Insignia charger, a small, white cube that plugs into a wall socket and that has a USB-C port on it. When plugged into a charger, the phone, which also has a USB-C port, displays how much time until fully charged. To charge the phone obviously requires a USB-C to USB-C cable, which is not included with the Insignia charger but which can be purchased most anywhere. To see just how fast the Insignia charger can charge my phone, I let the phone decrease in battery power to 60%. I then connected a “standard” phone charger I already had (I have lots of phone chargers), and the phone indicated 1 hour, 40 minutes until full charge. I then connected the “fast” charger that came with the phone to the phone, and the phone then indicated 1 hour, 4 minutes to full charge. Obviously, the fast charger charges the phone in 60% of the time required by the standard charger, a tremendous improvement. I then connected the Insignia charger to the phone, and the phone indicated an identical amount of time, 1 hour, 4 minutes, to full charge. I left the phone connected, and, yes, it was fully charged in an hour. I would say that the Insignia charger lives up to its billing.

I'm at problems in the past finding USB blocks. Regardless, if it's USB-B or USB-C that will function correctly. Insignia always tends to be a reliable and go to brand. I've learned in the past that it's a Best Buy brand and I love their quality. If this is your idea of off-brand, sign me up for a lot more of it. Obviously right out of the box. Really simple. It just tells you don't do this and don't do that. Instructions are pretty thin and everything else is simplistic and easy. The biggest tail of the tape here is that it does charge very fast. I'm not an iPhone person but my significant other is. She goes on and on about how fast she's able to charge phones. Looks like I'm have to go buy another one, She has three phones, all iPhones, one for business, one for work and one for her side business and one of these is enough to keep up with the charge on all three phones. But if I would have got a second she would be charged up and ready to go in next to no time. It's very beneficial when she's only home for an hour in between her business and has to go back out again. But a full charge and what felt like 30 minutes maybe less. Highly recommend this product.
