    I’ll start by saying that I own several Firesticks and use them on multiple TV’s and Smart TV’s . So, I figured why not a Fire TV. We use it in the kitchen. Huge mistake. I’m a channel/input surfer. You cannot do this with this TV with any ease. Combo TV...never again. I’m constantly having to reboot or unplug the TV. I think it would help a lot if the Fire TV (APP) part would go to sleep instead of powering off with the TV. At times it takes a few minutes for the apps to appear. Most of the time you have to click retry. The antenna part of the television apparently is integrated into the app platform of the TV. So, if the apps aren’t working, the antenna part of the TV doesn’t work until a reboot. Last week I went to the Appstore to download an app. Clicked on it and received a pop up stating that app could not be found. We’re talking about a major app here. Then I tried other major well know apps and received the same pop up. I checked other apps I had in my menu and went right to the site. Also checked internet connection, all good. I noticed that when I went to my antenna channel guide, that channels had gone missing along with icons for other channels in the grid. Again, I checked Internet status. All good. I then did a rescan of the LIve TV. Channels and icons slowly came back after a couple of hours. I went to the appstore and everything was back to normal. (Rescanned the TV???) I was under the impression that the two inputs were separate. Using the voice activation (Alexa) is entertaining to say the least. I had to add external speakers.

    Had to return the Insignia Smart Fire TV because it was not compatable with Spectrum App which is our local cable subscription. The box labeling or retailer should make this clear before purchase. Also, the headphone audio out connection canceled the speaker sound, which defeats allowing someone to listen at a different level via headphone.

    Very poorly made and will fail

    Purchased in 2022. 1. Had vertical lines after a week so I returned it. 2. Second one literally cracked after use for about 3 months. Turned on and the screen just popped. 3 bought a replacement thinking I did something wrong and the final one worked good.. but has problems as well. This one has a weak backlight on the right side as the pictures look slightly lighter on that side on dark screens. The TV also randomly restarts in the middle of a show because of the weak fire TV unit that they use in it. Will be invested in a show, screen stops, goes black and comes back with fire TV and ... In white letters, then back to the menu. Seems to be a common problem with these tvs because it did it on all 3 units. I would NOT recommend this TV to anyone at all. The first one I had delivered, second I bought from the Gastonia nc store and the third I bought there as well, so it isn't shipping damage or mishandling problems, it's just a very very poorly made tv. Please, do not buy this TV, it is a total waste of money. They do not last and are very poorly crafted, horridly designed and very very low quality.

    The apps and the remote. Only good thing bout this tv. Picture is not full hd. Whatever that means. But it fits in my truck alright and is all i need on the road so that's why i rated it higher than it probably deserves.

    Stupid Audio Problem

    I've had this since 6/23, with an optical cable connected to a sound bar. Regularly audio stutters or drops altogether. Often. The "fix" is switching to another input source on the TV, then returning. I keep hoping that some FireTV Firmware update will help, but I'm about done with this.

    I purchased this a few months ago because of the Price and features. One is being Smart TV that could use the PLEX app and use of an Antenna. The antenna works great the PLEX app does NOT work half the time. Funny that Amazon can't stream 4K on TV software but use a Firestick on the same now it works ! Yea it's not 4K but the video is Transcoded to 1080 a head of time.
