||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been tech savvy all my life, and this is one of the least intuitive standard devices that I've ever come across. I was expecting a smart TV, but what I got was apparently a smart TV run by an app rather than an OS on which apps are run. At least, that's what it feels like, since getting to and navigating live TV doesn't seem to be its primary function. I saw another review that suggested this device was designed primarily for streaming, and I am inclined to agree, because it certainly wasn't meant for just watching regular TV. Also, the included remote just plain sux rocks. There are no number keys, so going directly to a particular channel is a no-go (the guide is clunky, of course). The back button, unlike on most TV remotes, doesn't take you to the previous channel; for some reason, it takes you to the guide instead. They made the voice control button larger than the power button and put it at top center, which is where one would expect to find the power button. I picked up this TV on a holiday special for about $50, so at least I'm not out as much as some people. Luckily, I bought it to replace a non-smart TV in the bedroom, which I was hardly using anyway, so it's not a huge inconvenience. Knowing what I know now, I would've paid more to get a more "TV-centric" smart TV.

I bought it to replace my daughter's TV in her bedroom. The apps quit working on her old TV due to it's age. I love all of the built in, updated apps.

The speakers are mostly on the bottom, which makes it sound like it is echoing. Takes awhile to get used to. This is just for my kitchen, so it's good enough.
