Best for Prime Users

It was a constant battle when we had DISH. After getting rid of Dish, the TV was a little more user friendly; however, it would not load YouTube TV from the app icon at the top. We had to go about loading it in a roundabout way. It’s definitely made for Prime users.

The biggest downside is the extremely slow and clunky OS making it very difficult to navigate to any content at all. Text entry is lagging then speeds up and skips, while switching apps or profiles is painfully slow. You need patience of steel to get where you want. Dont browse.

freezes up

I have been working from home an using it daily and I have now discovered that it freezes all the time. The picture gets stuck and the sound keeps going. I have soft reset it y unplugging and even done the factory reset but it continues to be problematic. I have another bigger insignia fire tv and that one works just fine. I thought it was just me but now I see a bunch of people complaining about the same problem.

It’s a great TV at a great price!

Be sure and get a surge protector too as my previous tv was fried by a lightening strike. The only surviving tv in my house was on surge protector.

Not worth it

I bought this tv because I have an insignia from 10 years ago (pre-smart tvs) that is still going strong, this firetv however is nothing but headaches. If you want to replace your remote batteries every 2-4 weeks or not be able to watch the tv apps that you want (because they randomly stop working even after you uninstall/reinstall and reset the tv back to factory settings). The only redeeming factor is the picture quality is good. But the volume decides when it’s going to work normally and when it won’t-volume will randomly decrease even without changing the volume level so then you need to turn up the volume in order to hear the tv, then it will correct (after a day or a week) and the tv is blaring at you. Wish I’d just bought a non-smart tv and an Apple TV like I originally was going too.

Great Small Television

Perfect Guest Room Solution
