It started off pretty good but over the course of the first year it slowed down significantly and consistently has errors with use. It resets itself, shuts down randomly and I don’t mean it’s sleeping on a timer it has no sleep timer set it just blacks out while our kids are watching television. It then reboots and when interacting with its own included remote, so not a third party replacement, the original remote, it is nearly unresponsive. The reaction time for the tv to respond to the remote is anywhere from 5-15 seconds and sometimes it doesn’t respond at all. Amazon has an app on any app or play store and the app for this tv is ridiculous as well. Never go with a fire tv unless you have Herculean patience for poor results. This tv has been a hassle since about three months after the purchase and by then nobody will give you your money back. I am telling you if you want a tv that has a lot of apps and content but won’t cause you heartache please consider a Roku TV. Almost any brand Roku tv will out perform a fire tv any day.

I have to go around Home and press ‘Inputs’. Then press HDMI1, then look for You Tube TV and press to bring up You Tube TV. I am unable to press Home to go directly to You Tube TV. I should not have to go through all these extra steps. And you have to do this every time you turn on your TV. I need help. Ty his us a Fire TV.

Step 1. Go to settings
Step 2. Select System
Step 3. Select Power and Energy
Step 4. Select Power on Behavior
Step 5. Select last input used. This will default the TV to the last used input when powered on.

Over 6 months and the processor can’t handle all the functions. Many times you select a channel and get only audio or buffering/loading. Speakers are lackluster especially when mounted. Purchased an inexpensive sound bar for it.
