It connected to our home Wifi without a hitch and now allows my wife to watch YouTube tutorials in her craft room.

I just don't care for the FireTV format. I prefer the Roku, not tied into my Amazon account keeping track of everything I buy. FireTv does not have its own subtantial list of channels like the Roku does or a smart Samsung or LG tv does. But for a bedroom it is fine. For an Airbnb you don't want guests to access your Amazon account!
