Not good for over-the-air broadcast television. Not good for an elderly person who is not technically inclined. Not a bargain in spite of low price. Remote control does not even have a number pad, so if you want to be able to type in channel numbers you have to buy a different remote control for $20 or more and then program it to this tv. The television is designed mainly for streaming, so it always starts up at a home screen oriented to streaming. If you want to start in live tv or a particular input you have to lookup the settings on the Internet. But that will only work for a few days because the tv is constantly updating and every time it updates it forgets the input setting and goes to the home screen again. If you want to avoid this problem somewhat you can disable app updates but cannot disable system updates. In other words, just to allow someone to watch basic live tv, you have to do all these technical things to keep the tv from sabotaging you. Impossible for an elderly person. Also, the remote has hardly any features and they expect you to use voice commands. This requires you to login to an Amazon account and configure voice response. Is a non-technical person going to do this? Other television features are only available if you login to an Amazon account. I guess that's why they call it a Fire tv, but I had no idea the tv is so limited without Amazon. One of the reasons for buying a low-end tv is to watch broadcast television but this tv makes that most simple of tasks very difficult. I got it for an elderly person and wish I had spent a little more and bought a different brand.

Works fine for a great price. Only problem has been loading Spectrum, despite following a process outlined.
