I loved it for the few times I got to use it. This is a TV I don't use a lot. I only use it on long cooking days when I'm tired and just want something to distract me while I work in the kitchen. I have fire TV cubes on my other TVs and I really can't complain about those, so I thought I'd try out an actual Fire TV. Insignia is a great brand and I've always had good luck with it. Unfortunately, this TV didn't last more than two months and I use it about once every two weeks. There's only one manual button, so it isn't easy to use manually when things go wrong. My remote went out and wouldn't reconnect. I tried every trick I could think of and it just won't do much of anything. I even "deregistered it" and reset the entire tv. Nothing. And I can't log into my account again because the remote doesn't work and I can't set up a new remote with it either. So I figured out how to change the input and hooked up another cube. That seems to work. It's a pain but this TV was cheap enough that I don't think I could have gotten a better deal on a regular TV and now I know to stay with the cubes and forgo the whole TV thing. Lesson learned. As far as the picture and ease of initial setup, this TV is great. The volume is good too. I didn't have to hook up an external speaker and I can hear it over running water and a dishwasher.

This little TV is a nice budget option with a decent display and above-average audio. It's a perfect size for a small room like my kitchen. But as a Smart TV, it's a real junker. The Amazon Fire software must just be too demanding on the processor. Example: Watching a soccer game on Peacock (although this happens with all the streaming apps). After a couple of hours the stream begins to snag, desync'd from the audio, and becomes unresponsive to the remote. A reboot - often by pulling the power cord out because the whole thing is frozen - makes it good for another hour or maybe two. It's hard to watch a soccer game without stopping to reboot. I can't tell if it's crappy hardware or if the Fire TV software just leaks memory and eventually crashes, but our separate Fire Stick on another TV does not do this. I think it's the low-end hardware in this TV. I'm just glad this thing isn't my main TV.

This was purchased to replace an older non-smart TV with the same overall dimensions. Because of the slim bezel the picture size is noticeably larger and the quality of the picture is much better.

However, being an older adult, I am not fond of all the extras that came with the tv. Prefer just turning on the tv and automatically seeing a cable channel. Wish I could delete the Fire TV. Seems to be worth the price. BestBuy delivered it fast and it was packaged well.
