It, HOWEVER, has NOT lost its charging connection. If the blue charging light bothers the driver, just turn the charger upside down or sideways toward the passenger seat. It still charges. Each 12w usb outlet of the 24w dual charger clearly charges faster than a 5w charger.

I like that it supports faster charging speeds. One thing to note is that the charger pokes out of the car port but I actually like that for my car.

I bought it along with an Insignia 6' USB to Mini-B Charge-and-Sync Cable to connect my car GPS to power using this charger. It worked and all is well.
