It will NOT cool your whole house. Drains very well. Noise level is about what I expected, a nice whirr, and not a grinding motor sound. The aperture where the air comes out could be a little bigger, but again works well. Very pleased with my purchase, especially the money I saved from not buying a name brand.

The unit would flash multiple times after sometime of running so we thought it was just the water tank. After communicating with Insignia to see if we were doing something wrong it was determined the unit was defective. By this time it was passed the 15 day grace period BestBuy gives out, so we are unable to go on with a simple exchange. We have contacted both Insignia (a division within BestBuy) and BestBuy, with both sides pointing to the other for the next step to take. It is a frustrating experience thus far.
