I followed the directions provided by multiple agents to facilitate an exchange of an open-box air conditioner that was damaged and leaking. I brought the unit to a store as instructed. The objective was to facilitate an exchange of the damaged open-box unit by returning it to a store (despite it having been shipped to me). I was told by agents (see chat screenshot) that the store could then assist by ordering another open-box unit - with a price match for what I originally paid for the damaged unit - for me. And that unit would be shipped to my residence if the store didn't have one in stock. Essentially, the agents either provided incorrect guidance and or simply lied out of convenience/to appease me. The BB storage manager - where I returned the unit (West LA on 8/28/28) - said they couldn't facilitate an online order of another open-box unit. He said to call customer service and request they facilitate the order with a price match. He said they could do that. Well, I called customer service again and was bounced around to different agents; having to explain my issue over and over. And ultimately - from what a sales agent told me (8/28/25) - Best Buy (her manager) did not want to honor and facilitate an exchange. Which I presumably attribute to the current open-box online pricing fro the same unit is now higher than the price I originally. How upstanding of Best Buy. What a waste of hours of time and effort as well as money. I will do my "best" to avoid "buy"ing from Best Buy again.

Wife and I both agree we have been sleeping much better with this unit in our room. A nice constant fan and automatic temperature regulation makes this a must have for people that love a cool room.

The AC has been working like butter, does not draw too much power, i would 5 star if the condescension was not so heavily accumulated in a short time , within an hour i find myself disposing of a full gallon of water, understandable but still a lot.

4 month lifespan (started using it in May-Aug). It cooled our 25 foot airstream decently well (20 degrees less than outside temp on average). We bought it as an adjunct to our roof unit to give it a break as we are full timing out of it for work. Recently it has been leaking water on the inside of the unit. It appears something on the inside isn't cooling/getting airflow like it should causing condensation to build up. The condensation then runs down the inside of the unit and within 2 hours sloshing can be heard and the unit will be "spitting" out water so to speak. At that point I have to drain 400-600ml of water from the top drain valve and 200-400ml from the bottom. I can't believe the unit does not power off as the instruction manual states it will flash a P1 code. If the unit is so waterlogged water droplets can be felt coming coming from the output how can this unit continue to run? I'm just glad it failed when we were home and didn't end up with a leak that would have been way more expensive to remedy than the unit itself. Long story short I would not buy this unit. Go with GE or some other name brand

I bought this portable air conditioner and a store and I was able to use my coupons like I and a gentleman who aren't nostar took the time and brought my air conditioner. Out and put it in my car for me, excellent worker.

It works very well, as expected. It isn’t noisy enough to bother you.

Excelente and best purchase ever i got it on plane summer in puerto rico plus this model is a energy saver one. I simply love it.

Keeps things cool, has a remote, pumps it out the window while being able to stay in the middle of the office.

Best Buy had the worst customer service I have experienced. Twice I purchased items supposed to arrive in excellent condition with no missing or broken parts and twice I received missing and broken items. They refuse to do anything to correct it and refuse to let me talk to a supervisor. I will never purchase anything from Best Buy again.

It definitely keeps a small room cool and comfortable.

I’ve had this for maybe 2 years honestly I never drain it until I notice it’s not cooling properly but even then I clean the filters and drain it out and works good but something tells me these things don’t last forever

Leaks and smells like a wet dog. It is on cool setting and not dehumidifier setting. It is not user error. I have had many of these kinds of units. It was fine until the warranty was up. Now it stinks, and it sucks. It is putting out more water than my actual dehumidifier in the other room and it is on the cool setting. Waste of 300 dollars. You will regret purchasing this garbage.
