It also makes a continuous metallic rattling noise when in use. The air coming out is cool, so at least there is that. Disappointed overall.

I would recommend getting the warranty because you get store credit back if it breaks or you can swap it out.

However that was because we made a mistake. We didn't need to cool the room by much, so we got this 240 square foot unit for a 350 square foot room. Don't do that... It doesn't work that way. The unit ran 24/7 and I could just see the $$$ going out the window. My advice, which most people probably already do, is measure your room and get the right unit. Your electricity bill will benefit.

Works okay, enough to make the room usable. Must have place to hook up exhaust hose and condensation hose which makes placement inconvenient. Also hose does not bend well and therefore cannot be pushed up against the wall without the hose popping off. Overall, okay for what I needed but not worth the price. Would've preferred to buy a window unit but unable to fit it in our windows.
