I turn it on a couple hours before I go to bed and it will take at least several more hours afterwards to cool down my bedroom enough to use a quilt. Five plus hours to cool and 10x12 bedroom seems extremely long. If I could return it I would. I’ve used it 8 times in the year and 4 months I’ve had it. I end up using my cyclone fan to keep cool which works better. I like the idea of it being mobile and easily connects to a window. The remote works great but that’s all I can say for this A/C. I started to think it might be too small for my bedroom but the Best Buy person helped me figure out what size I needed so, that cannot be the issue. It is expensive for using 8 times.
