    Received a unit with an error code

    It came by shipment. I installed it, and it gave me an error code. I have a small car, and am over 60, so the suggestion of returning to a store is kinda hard, PLUS COVID!. I'm disappointed and sweating. Not sure how to resolve this, but I also have paid for 2 years geek squad, soooooo. I would love to get this resolved. Thanks in advance for your attention.

    When I received this item it was missing one of the wheels and had scratches all over the unit. That isn't even the worst part. The bottom plug was apparently broken off and nowhere in any of the instructions was there a diagram of the unit. So I didn't even know the bottom plug was missing until I ran the unit all day and then came home to a flooded room.

    Idk - maybe the item I received was defective but this does not cool down my room at all. I've had it running for 5 hours straight and felt no difference. I really want to return it but its so heavy.

    Constantly shutting off and tripping breaker. Barely cools anything. Waste of money. Wish I could return it.

    This did not work at all. It did not cool the room even a little. It was as if the air from the outside was just getting pushed inside and it wasn’t cooling it at all.i returned it a week later

    I bought this air and it was better to have a fan in the room, the time it takes to cool is quite apart from that when it starts to throw fresh air it only lasts 5 minutes and it comes back and turns off

    Arrived DOA - Would Not Recommend

    Terrible unit - arrived broken, the compressor won't kick on, just the fan. Ran it for hours and still the same. Would avoid Insignia at all costs - get something well known instead. Now have the lug this heavy unit back to the store, ugh.

    Struggles to keep the area cool.

    The unit I got will not keep the square footage cool. It struggles to keep my area cool when it get above 80 degrees not efficient very disappointed I bought the unit rated for the living size I am trying to cool but it can't keep up.

    where's the battery cover for the remote?

    it works great, I'm having problems find out where to find support to get a battery cover for the remote. It was the only thing missing in the whole kit. Hoping that a negative review will lead me somewhere to the answer or a battery cover.

    Don’t buy !! You are better off using a fan.. it’s a few days before summer and my room isn’t getting cool.. a waste of money and I can’t return.. tried calling customer support.. best buy customer service sucks!!

    Big energy consuming fan, get a box fan instead

    It's a fan, not an air conditioner. It's no cooler than the air coming from my box fan. It's vented out a window, it's set on 'cool' setting on high at 62 degrees and the air coming out is no cooler than in front of my box fan.

    We purchased this for our bedroom as our apartment complex is dragging their feet on getting our AC unit & others in the complex replaced. Our apt has been getting very hot, so we needed at least one room we could get some relief in. We also have a dog & my wife has a chronic illness. Setup was fairly uncomplicated and only took about 20 minutes. Once we got it set-up and running, it cooled our bedroom from 82 down to 74 in about 30 minutes. We personally don't find it to be too loud and are able to sleep with it running all night. The swing function on the vent helps to move the air around the room. We are incredibly impressed with this product, especially as it is one of the more affordable portable units.

    Had to return this air conditioner. Was basically a glorified fan and did NOT blow cold air which was very disappointing...maybe it was damaged during shipping as the box came beat up and falling apart and barely held together. Nonetheless I switched to an LG brand!

    THIS ITEM CAME DAMAGED IN THE BOX AND THE BOX IT SELF WAS DAMAGED, STILL TRIED TO GIVE IT A CHANCE DOSENT EVEN COOL THE PLACE SLIGHTLY. EVEN AT THE COLDEST TEMP SETTINGS. WILL BE RETURING ASAP
