portable air conditioner is great I have had it over a year and it provides great humidification and cooling. Air conditioner is not big and cumbersome and easy to set up.. I’ve bought 2 and looking to buy a 3rd for my extra room

Great quality, come in handy for those hot days. The only thing that it a little bit louder than I thought.

Easy setup, very effective for our den. Not especially noisy on low, and enough length in the connections to find best placement in the room.

I did a TON of research into portable air conditioners that would fit our budget and do what we needed them to. We have a second-story apartment with one wall unit in our living room (which does a passable job for the living room and kitchen), but in the summer our two bedrooms absolutely bake. For a few years we had a system with box fans everywhere that made things... bearable, but it was not great. The whole apartment was too warm except right in front of the wall unit. This year we decided to bite the bullet since my husband is working from home and his computer running all day heats up our already warm room. After a week or so of research and reading reviews, I found this model. I don't know why I didn't think of Insignia in the first place, since we already have a chest freezer and a minifridge from them that we love. We bought two of these, one for each bedroom, and we couldn't be happier. We run ours on auto all day (mostly fan but cool when necessary) and the one in the kids' room at night when they're in there. Not only are the bedrooms significantly and wonderfully cooler, it seems like our apartment overall is cooler. I haven't noticed hot days at all so far, though we'll see if that changes once we're actually in summer. We haven't tried the dehumidifier feature since we have no need for it, but we love the "follow me" function on the remote and the fact that it has a remote at all. I also love that this model was at least $100 cheaper than all the comparable models I could find, and I was not looking forward to spending $800+ on air conditioners. $600 for two was still a stretch, but it was absolutely worth it. So far we have seen no increase in our electric bill, and if anything it's slightly less than last year. The only issue we've had with both units is that they both turned themselves on once or twice the first week we had them, which was perplexing, but that hasn't happened since. It was easy to set up, and our only issues with the installation were because of our dumb windows. I absolutely recommend this model (and brand).

Works great for a small indoors area. Only issue is how loud it can be but besides that it works great.

Purchased this to go in my bedroom.. my room is the hottest room in the house and this has most definitely helped keep the area cool

This air conditioner does just what i wanted it to do. It cools down my room. It was easy to install and it’s easy to use AND ut makes my 300 squre foot office livable this hot summer.

Works like a dream, we have a small bedroom that gets hot at night and it cools the room down quickly and keeps the room at a consistent temp and it isn’t loud so I can sleep comfortably all night long!

Does everything needed. It is very easy to program the auto on and off.

Everything I needed. My split air is in the back of the apartment and summer is awful in the living room. This has cooled the room even better than expected! Not too noisy. Easy install.

This unit keeps our bedroom nice and cool. There are 2 filters that you need to clean regularly during heavy use. We really enjoy this unit so we bought another one.

This Portable A/C was just what I was looking for.. I needed it for a small space in my garage. It was perfect and the price was right..

After re-arranging our bedroom, we didn't have easy access for our window unit. This Insignia portable air conditioner really fit the bill. It cools excellent and it's not to loud. although we like the background noise. Good unit at a good price.

I had an LG portable 7000btu that failed after just one summer, mild use. The reason we got that one was it was supposed to be quiet 51dB. Such balony from LG as expected. This one is quieter although you won’t find a dB info. The unit shuts its fan off along with the compressor which is fantastic as that means 0 dBs! Cooling is great, no issues. Very happy with the product so far. Got a 4 year warranty just in case.

I bought 2 of the Insignia 250 Sq Ft. Portable Air conditioners to put in the grandkid's rooms so I didn't have to cool the entire house. They work wonderfully. The air conditioner comes with a remote control with all the standard functions; Turn off, turn on, set a sleep timer, set the temperature, etc. I had the big brother (350 Sq Ft.) but after removing the accumulated water, it wouldn't get cold again, so I decided to try the smaller version which has been fantastic. I highly recommend this A/C.
