We have my elderly father in law living with us and we can keep the central a/c at a comfortable level for him and not freeze him out.

It’s good but …
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It’s pretty good at keeping cool but only issue is that it drains SO MUCH WATER. I put the hose in a gallon bottle and it feels up almost every hour to hour and a half.

You’re not going to find true quiet, but this is one of the better. Auto Swinging door helps to circulate air. Really cools down the room quickly. Idea for a room, not a whole floor. Really happy with now the window insert is constructed.

It does its job just fine. Remote is handy. More importantly, I do not have to worry about the unit falling from the window. It is easy to put away at the end of the season.

We were doing okay while the nights were low and the daytime temps were below 90. When the temps went up to 100 we needed to get some more help. This unit was on sale and available for pick up at our local store. Best Buy people were very helpful and courteous. We used it for about two weeks until our AC installers came. We knew it wouldn't cool the space we installed it in way down, but it helped keep the space comfortable in the daytime. It was quiet, and efficient and actually kept a space larger than 250 square feet quite comfortable for the time we were without whole-house AC.
