Wish it was quieter but cools very well. Have not used the dehumidifier function

Works amazing. Especially with this hot summer and easy to install. Make sure pay attention the weather strips sizes.

Works really well! I use it in a bedroom that is approximately 100 sq ft and it gets very cold within about 45 minutes. If I move it to the living room, which is about 300 sq ft, the unit struggles to cool it down. So keep the 250 sq ft in mind. It also came with insulation to put around the window kit/exhaust, something that seemed to be missing from the units sold off Amazon. I also looked at my electric usage, this unit uses about 1/2 the electricity as my old through the wall sleeve AC. I'm actually excited to see my electric bill next month...

It’s decent for the price. I have a relatively small room and this unit seems to struggle to cool it on very hot days. (Over 85) I have two other insignia portable ac’s in my home but they are the slightly stronger units meant to cool 350 sq ft. They work much better than this one. If you can mange the extra $30 or $40, then get that model instead of this one.

Loving our portable unit. Everything is perfect. I do love the dehumidifier feature though. Truly cools the room with a touch of white noise in the background.

This item works great f or my size living room and i dont have to worry about dumping the water a lot like my older one

It cools the space that its in very quickly, easy to put together. My kids love it.

The AC unit itself works great and actively cools room. Took less than 15 mins to set up with my horizontally opening window. The reason for the low review is due to how horrible the delivery was (to no fault of the driver). On Sat, I got an email saying the delivery would be delayed from Tues to Wed which was totally fine and understandable, yet that Saturday night at 1 AM I was awoken with multiple calls and texts saying the AC was here and I needed to let the driver in. I thought it was a scam for a robber to get in at first. In what world is it normal to deliver a heavy appliance in the middle of the night in a city where if I hadn’t woken up or let the driver in, the AC would have sat outside all night and been stolen? And then I, a young female who was home alone, had to let a man I didn’t know into my building in the middle of the night. No notice from Best Buy that the AC was even out for delivery- just a text I thought was spam from an independent contractor at like 12:30 AM…. Will not order delivery from Best Buy again.

This product works very well, but I need to disclose that its a bit noisy, but if you don't mind the noisy and prefer to nice and cool through the summer time. This is the best product.

I was staying in a cabin during a brutal heat wave. I was very skeptical of using a portable but I had to do something to keep the cabin cool. My dog has Mitral Valve Disease and getting overheated is not safe for her. This worked like a charm. I had it set up in 5 minutes and never turned it off. I was able to use my Best Buy Rewards which was very helpful.

Easy to install and use. Kept our bedroom cool when the central air went down.

Its been 6 months since i bought it, and its working perfectly, i finally can sleep, my room is cold, love it. Its noisy but i dont care

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. So have the self evaporating function has worked great and keeps my 240 SQ FT loft area cool. It is a little louder than I had hoped, but since I am not running it all the time, it works for me.

I bought a two of these, different brands, this one was the best by far. The items that come with this to seal the window just work so much better, they fit better and easier to install. This was ny favorite unit, even though the other unit was a name brand and cost more money. The Insignia brand is becoming a legitimate option for me for all kinds of products.

This thing works awesome nice and cold. Plus it’s quite doesn’t make much noise in my opinion. Love the purchase.

I love that fact that’s it’s portable and I’m able to bring it to any room that I need it to be in. It really can cool the room within minutes.

This so deserves the 5 stars. My son's room is super cold and purchased because of all the electronics in his very small room making it hot. You won't find a better deal if portability if your goal. Great brand and price point.
