Extremely loud, not enough cooling.

I have gotten more used to it now but the first few nights I had to sleep with earplugs in because this unit is so loud. Worst of all it doesn’t really do a good job at keeping the room cool. If you stand right in front of the AC the air coming out of it is very cold and it would seem like it would cool the room quickly. Not only does it take an extremely long time to cool the room but the room is never actually as cold as it should be. I compare this to a 5000 BTU window unit that I have in another room of the same size. The window unit makes the too Very cold very fast and is half the power of this large, loud, useless AC.

If you need a smallish room cooled for a short period of time, this is a solid choice. The heat exhaust is a weak link and actually makes a window-mount seem elegant by comparison.
