Our 15 year old AC units finally gave out on us summer if 2022 and to say the least it took our home insurance 5 months to get things fixed. We bought this unit and literally kept us a float till everything was finally fixed. Still work so well till this day and we even use it still during summer times to have that extra “uhmf” of cold air during the nights.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used my new Insignia 6000BTU portable a/c twice now and it helps my wall unit cool off the room faster.Once I get to my desired temp of 70°f I turn it off and let my wall unit take over.I live in Florida in a trailer so it's just going to keep getting hotter as summer lasts about 6 months here with styflying heat and humidity.So by May- October I know I'll need it everyday to help my 5000 BTU wall unit cool off to my liking as I prefer my indoor temp to be from 68°-70°>.So it's good to have 2 a/c's than 1 if you like it cold like me.

That's where this thing comes into play. The beauty of it is, it will work with most window layouts regardless of length or if they open horizontally or vertically. It does a great job of dropping the temp in room quickly, and it holds it well too. If you can't fit a normal window unit, this will likely do the job for you.

Even on the low setting it makes odd noises, like clunking noises, every so often. It seems to cool my bedroom fairly well, though.
