I have a great pyr and chow shepard who both think if the house temps are at 74 it's too hot. I bought it becuse Texas heat can be brutal and I need my bedroom nice and icy. I went from tossing and turning nightly to sleeping soundly!! I have recommended this model to my sister in the bay area which she got hers last week and also just purchased another for my mom in Nor Cal today.

Very Good Portable Air Conditioner

It was not too noisy and the most maintenance it needed was to keep the filters cleaned every three or so weeks, a super easy task to perform. Even to date, it has not required a water purging from the water retention tank due to condensation, which I found surprising. The remote is nice though I found I rarely used it since my initial settings were good for the whole summer.

We loved it so much we kept it in one of our rooms that stays hotter than others. Also its a great back up if you ever need it. Really impressed with the quality.
