I almost bought the Edifers that didn’t have a subwoofer out for more money. I’m glad I bought these instead. I paired it with a Sony subwoofer than was on sale for $110 and they sound amazing. The kids thought we were having an earthquake. My only regret is that I bought the Open box item that was missing the remote. Didn’t know that until I searched the house for a few days thinking I misplaced it.

I'm old school so I don't use the Blue Tooth feature or the remote that comes with it. Speakers have a wonderful sound quality. The staff at Best Buy who helped us purchase our turntable was the one to look up what speakers would best pair with our turntable, for a fairly reasonable price. It's been years since I bought speakers, so had to figure that price of speakers has increased since the 1990s. Had to closely read instructions on how to set speakers to not use Blue Tooth.

These powered speakers sound surprisingly good! Clear high frequencies, and reasonable low range for small bookshelf speakers. They can fill her living room, too. She also uses them with Alexa (Aux) and with her phone, via bluetooth. I had purchased a pair of unpowered Polk bookshelf speakers at about the same time for the same price, as a 2nd set of speakers for my system. They sound boxy and flat in comparison to these.

The Bluetooth feature works well with my devices also. Downside- the remote must be used to change inputs. Lose the remote? You'll have to order a new one, because it is necessary to operate these speakers.
