As one step in a plan to increase privacy for my communications network, I used the THUNDERBOLT USB-C 40 GB Data Transfer cord to secure a second smartphone. This experiment used the Edge browser over a Windows 11 platform. Then with the correct GBs on all components --- laptop, cord, and smartphone, the THUNDERBOLT USB-C to USB-C connection executed a glitch-FREE installation of an entire GrapheneOS onto my Google Pixel 6. As well, though a less demanding task, I depend on the cord to Turbo Charge my phone in a heartbeat via my car Ac power inverter, laptop, or wall outlet. (For homebased charging convenience, I positioned my old slo-mo cords (unplugged) at low traffic room outlets for use when not so pressed for time.) A paracord-like woven exterior promises durable longevity and flexible protection from fatigue at the usual stress points. With fabric boasting a nice 'hand', the 'out-sulation' weave also acts as a crush buffer for the high-capacity wire along its entire length. Good lookin' out!!

This is a great Thunderbolt cable, especially since it is rated for Thunderbolt 4, the latest one. The Length is good, and while it says it can handle up to 240W Power Delivery via the cable, which I don't doubt, I only have a 100-watt Computer Power Charger. I'm happy to report no issues using it to deliver 100-watts to my PC all day long when I forgot my regular cable, so that was good. The cable is braided which is a nice touch vs. the typical rubber, but more importantly when I use it to connect my NVME drives via Thunderbolt 4 to my desktop PC I got full speed with no issues from the dock. So the cable did what I really wanted which is work and transfer the data at full speed. Not much more then I can say, beyond the cable feels nice, sturdy, and just long enough without being too long for a desk. It works for what I need and I don't have any issues when connecting NVME drives over Thunderbolt 4 allowing me to run my Virtual Machines on the go and full speed without an issue, very happy with this cable.

Poor built quality. Right after opening the packing I see that the wire is not greatly built. I would rather few extra bucks to get something which is sturdy.

I had high hopes for this cable as the price matched the quality/feel of the material used for this cable. I used this cable to charge my headset. After the second use, the cable wouldn’t charge any device, and from multiple charging blocks/stations, or transfer data. Returning this product.

Imagine having a tool that works for your every need in this digital age, a tool that would charge your phones, laptops, convey data between devices, work as an Awesome connection with 4K capabilities between a laptop and a TV or monitor, and also be a lossless connection between your car and Android device. the above is what the Insignia™ - 3.28ft (1m) Thunderbolt 4 cable, USB-C to USBC cable does for my needs. It has been travelling with me for a few weeks now and its yet to dissapoint. I need to mention that I am very rough with cables and I do tend to replace them quite a bit due to the high usage rate and due to the fact that most of them even the pricy ones are not made to be handled 10's of times per day. this cable is thinker that any other cable I have seen. infact, I have seen HDMI cables thinner than this! it is well constructed and well protected, the USB C ends are very well shielded and it is very hard to bend the cable at the end of the USB C cable (where 99% of cables fail usually). the USB C connectors are made well, they feel solid and the connected easily, yet firmly to all 15 devices I use daily at home, at work or on the move. data transfer rates with this thing are insane, I compared it in real life application to other good quality cables that are newish but not Thunderbolt 4 from Insignia and Anker- nothing comes even close to this with data transfer. this is my cable to use going forward.

Not all cables are the same, and when you specifically need a Thunderbolt, the options get pricey. But this Insignia Thunderbolt 4 cable is a high quality and cost effective option. Though 8K displays are still uncommon, this cable supports it when you’re ready to upgrade. It also delivers 240W of power to charge your most hungry devices. But the feature I like most is its 40Gbps data transfer. All of a sudden, external drives come alive with blazing connectivity speed. Like many high quality cables nowadays, the outside is braided, ensuring it doesn’t fray at the ends. I have only two minor quips about the cable. The first is that the plugs are labeled with the Thunderbolt lightning symbol and a “4” underneath to show its designation. However the print is fairly dark and does not stand out enough against the black color of the plug. There is, however, a tag attached to the cable that’s quite legible indicating its specs. The second quip is that there is no velcro cable band to wrap it when not in use. Neither of these is a big deal. So if you need a Thunderbolt 4 cable, look no further.

Not fast charger. Basically takes soo long to charge!

I used this to connect Migration Assistant between two MacBook Airs. My wireless networks is fast but I wanted the dependability of a hard wired connection. They were both M3 machines and the transfer was very fast. Cord is much stiffer than a regular USB C cable and seems to be made well.

I have to run cables from my Macbook to various external monitors, and standard issue USB-C cables won't cut it. This cable works a treat and has stylish braided cables and purple molding to boot.

I use two of these cables for USB C video, connecting to 27” 1440p monitors, you can easily get 165 Hz refresh rate with these cables in use at the full resolution. What I really like is how secure they are when connected, I’ve slid my computer and my monitors around and the connection will still persist and not drop out.

Worked perfectly. It's nice and beefy. Looks cool.

Good quality. Unfortunately it didn’t work with my monitor.
