Best quality sound available compared to FM transmitters. Tends to not last much longer than a year before sound distortions start kicking in. But still the best option short of replacing your stereo.

    My cassette player lives on

I have a cassette player in my Explorer and for some reason I have separation anxiety when I am away from it. And even though I've had fun scouring the Earth for tape cassettes (WHAM!), I decided to buy a cassette adapter to play digital albums. I use my phone as the primary volume control. With the phone volume about 3/4 of the way up, I only have to turn the volume up on my cassette player to 2 to get a loud full sound in my vehicle (I replaced the factory speakers). I would describe the sound quality as close enough to CD quality for me to keep using it but different enough for me to hear the difference.

I drive an older car that has a cassette player and no Bluetooth or auxiliary port. This allows me to play my music from my phone and listen to it with my car speakers. Must get the right balance of volume from your phone and car to make it sound good

I bought this item to replace an old one (of a different brand). This product works well, good audio quality. I wish the audio cable was a heavier duty. It is the same Guage as my old one, and that's what wore out and broke.

Simple and easy to use for older automobiles. Worked to perfection. I can listen to Spotify using my old cassette player. Great product.

This replaces an older, similar item. Plug it into your phone or MP3 player's headphone jack, and insert the cassette into your player. Works like it was intended. On older cars with a cassette player, and without an Aux-In jack or bluetooth, this does the job.

Are you old? Are you too cheap to buy an upgraded stereo for your car or truck? This is the product for you! Get as good a sound as you can get from a tape player with an electronic peice of witchcraft shoved in it. Let's be real, your not going to that hip hop dance class Jerry. Just like your not going to upgrade that stereo. Play some modern day tunes and leave that Tom Jones tape at home with this "Modern" peice of technology!

Bought this for myself to use in my old car that still has a casette deck. However, gave it to my grandson who was driving off the next morning 500 miles to his first adult job. He reports it worked very nicely in his old car.

This adapter does what it is intended to do. Play music from a phone or mp3 player using your car stereos tape deck. It is a little cheap feeling, but I paid less than ten bucks for it on a Deal of the Day so I am happy with it.

As per the title above, it does allow you to connect your phone to an older vehicle's cassette player. The main flaw that has been mentioned by others is that the volume needs to be turned up stupidly high. The main problem with this is that if you forget to turn down the volume when you switch to FM for radio stations, it will blast extremely loud. Although I've gotten used to turn down the volume before I do switch to FM, I still like it, and I suspect this item will last long with it being an Insignia product.

This cassette tape adaptor is great and really easy to use. The only thing is that the width of the aux is too wide and could interfere if your phone has a phone cover on. Other than that the sound is great for when using your MP3 in your car.

I needed to purchase this item for my son's vehicle so he could use his IPhone through the existing cassette player. It works great and gives his in-vehicle stereo a more updated feel. This should last until we update him to a newer vehicle.

Without this inexpensive device, I was unable to listen to my iPhone music because my daughter's car didn't have the aux jack. But it did have a CD player, so this simple, inexpensive Best Buy recommended device did the trick for less than $25.

I am impressed with the sound quality while using this adapter with my iPhone and iPad in an older car. Great thing to have for a road trip. I was tempted to buy a super cheap one (less than $2), but after reading the terrible reviews for it I opted to spend a few more bucks for this adapter instead. Glad I did. Not super sturdy materials, so keep it somewhere safe.

Prefect item if you have an older vehicle and you want to listen to music on you phone but don't want to fork out money for a aftermarket stereo. It works great so far. I had one for a few years and they do go bad but for the price, it's an exellent solution. If you spend a little more there is the bluetooth version of this thing for the phones with no auxiliary jack also work realy well.
