I didn't know that there were different types of USB-C even though it's called the same thing. One of the associates kindly explained this to me and even walked me over to the section (I don't know if people have areas they're supposed to work in). This cable does the job and has been working since I purchased it for close 6 months now.

I quickly found out that the cable incompatible with my setup. My laptop USB-C port was the other side where my outlet was located. This made the cable not able to reach my laptop because the thickness of the cable made it to stiff to bend. If you going to use this cable to charge your device I recommend something more flexible and longer so you can the freedom to charge where you want. However, the transfer speed of the cable is what is mentioned in the specs so if you buying this cable to transfer your data then this cable is will work.

Surprised this isn't more of a staple in everyone's office versus thumb drives and SD cards. Just wish it had some kind of physical feature on the cable or at one of the tips to more clearly distinguish it from a "regular" (non-high-speed-data-transfer) USB cable. Yes, I know I can just add a label or a tie, but those things wear out or fall off eventually.
