I purchased it as a deal of the day. It works well. I deducted one star because the lid wouldn't open completely for awhile. I tried a reset and changing the batteries but it didn't work. The trash can started working correctly again on its own.

This keeps the dog out of the garage and any smells inside the can. Just like on the tall kitchen can (same brand) you can keep the lid in the open position. I was unable to find 3 gallon bags, but 4 gallon works fine.

This is my second Insignia Automatic Trash Can and they both works perfect. I love not having to press a foot peddle or lifting the lid with my hands. The automatic can is so much better to use.

Changing the bag is easy too and doesn’t seem to be very loud when opening and closing. I would recommend it if you are looking for a small trash can.
