Online photos are deceiving bc they’re actually showing the larger ?13g trash cans. For this little wee thing, you have to get super close it for the lid to open. Perhaps may be ok if placed on a countertop or something but definitively NOT useful if placing on the floor.

Opened and checked 2, returned all 5. There is a design flaw in these. The sensor does not respond or very picky in responding. This trash can would make you a patient person.

Motion Sensor Does Not Work

The motion sensor on the one I got never worked. I could manually press the open and close button, but that defeats the purpose. If the one I got had a bad sensor, then I'm sure others will also..

Do not wave your hand or rubbish above the sensor. The right gesture is placing your hand over the sensor for 1 second, then the lid will open. The sensor is located between the indicator light and the Open/Close button.
