I decided to use this item to replace it and, for the most part, it’s been great. It does occasionally disconnect from my pc, but it’s a rare thing to happen. So yes, I’d recommend it as a fix.

Do not buy - save yourself time and money

I took it back to the store to get it exchanged since I have a 1 year manufacturer warranty on it and the front desk customer support insisted that the warranty is for only 14 days and not for 1 year. This is extremely disappointing to know that bestbuy does not honor their own policy. Customer support over the phone agreed that I should be able to exchange it but said they are helpless and I should go back to the store which I’m not doing it anymore because I don’t want to waste my time dealing with incompetent employees that do not know what a warranty is. I am not buying anything anymore from bestbuy knowing that I will not get any defective item to be replaced. Save yourself time and money
