Avoid this product at all costs

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I should have paid attention to the other reviews warning me about this USB charger, but I was in a hurry to get something for a trip overseas and figured that it is just a USB charger, how much can go wrong? Well simply put this is what you call a single use device. I plugged it in once in Auckland (New Zealand) and was able to charge my phone and IPad - so far so good. However when we went to the next place to stay in Taupo the following day and pluged it in, I immediately heard a buzzing sound and that was it for the USB charger. I was then stuck in a foreign country with 4 USB devices to charge and nothing which could charge it. Fortunately the B&B we stayed at had a spare single USB charger that they were happy to let us take. So.. short story. Even if you ignore my review, pay attention to the other reviews and DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS, no matter how desperate you may be. It only seems to work as a paper weight and under no circumstances should be confused with an electrical device.

Great if you only need USB ports

This product didn't state on the outside of the box that it was not a current converter, so I returned it for a refund. It would have been nice if that information had been placed on the outside of the box, rather than only on the package insert. I didn't use it, so I can't rate its quality.
