Terrible Feedback Shrieking noise the entire time

It does its job in that it plays music from my phone to my car stereo, but the music is accompanied by a terrible, fluctuating shriek. Its as though there is some weird feedback that the wired cannot avoid. It's a disruptive, shrieking noise that ruins every song played. And I can't get rid of it, no matter the aux port position, usb-c port position. Nothing helps. A waste of a product.

Loud whine.

Whine seems to be more pronounced on the right side rather than the left. Tried multiple phones and the same noise but only when the phone is making sound. When music is silent or phone is off, no whine. Will try to return tomorrow.
