I am somewhat afraid of it being a disaster in my home

No way to really check until delivery guy drops and leaves. huge box to remove with tons protection but still came broken. The fridge was been in our garage and no issue and words better than intended. Gets super cold

First one I received delivered and paid for by my home warranty company. The freezer compartment worked wonderful but the refrigerator would not hold a safe temperature unless it was cranked up all the way on high. Best buy had a technician. Come and check it out. Not fixable and absolutely no parts available for this model so they replaced it with another one. Same model, same brand and it's doing exactly the same thing! Freezer works great. Refrigerator will not hold safe cold temperature unless it is on the highest setting possible on this unit.

However, I do not like that there is no backing over the motor and other parts for protection. Also, I purchased the refrigerator because a feature being that the door hinge could be switched and Best Buy places a $60-$80 charge to make the switch. This was a disappointment. I have made several major purchases from Best Buy but will be hesitant to make another. The low rating is for those features and additional charges.

And everything about it feels cheap. Arrived with one of the door shelves broken. Replacement parts are impossible to find, but we managed to fix it enough to be usable. Keeps things cold, but makes weird sounds.

Open box item was purchased and the drawers were not wrapped. One drawer piece was broken due to the pieces being loose inside during transport. The refrigerator itself is great.

Well lit - easy to see everything with clear shelves drawers. Nice feature for an inexpensive fridge - It makes a “ding” sound if the door is left open.
