Terrible "warranty"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought an insignia fridge 2 years ago, and am still so angry that the extended warrenty was for nothing!! The door doesnt seal at the bottom of the fridge part. They (Bestbuy) wouldnt touch it nor did the warranty department!. Gave us a runaround and thats it. It doesnt stay at the right temp. Fridge gets warm often.

At first the refrigerator part was almost as cold as the freezer, but my daughter came over and read the instructions and regulated the temp and explained to me how to set the controls. It would have been nice to have printed instructions with the unit instead of inside the unit.

It functions alright, but it makes some of the most obnoxious noises that I really want to return it. When the doors (both refrigerator and freezer) are closed, the magnetic seals start to make a weird creaking sound until the seals settle. It's actually quite loud. Then, at least once a day, it sounds like a sheet of ice is breaking off and falling somewhere. But there is no ice machine to this model. Finally, it's been a real challenge without a built-in deli drawer. I had to purchase acrylic boxes for organization, but they just aren't the right size and get shoved all around.

My other fridge was larger with water and ice and buttons I did not use. It served me well but this one is better matched to my simple needs and its freezer chills much more rapidly. Also, I'm a senior. I had to have handles. I could not pry open some fridges without handles. Be sure you check and consider that if like me when purchasing.
