I bought this for my husband to use in his shed, but our air went out and we used it in our master bedroom for a week and 1/2 until we could get our unit replaced and it worked so well!

Unfortunately, as good a deal as it was, I had to return it since the person I bought it for got another one as a gift. The service provided by Best Buy personnel was excellent.

Not as good as a window unit , easy to install . Good price.

I bought this for my bedroom because I did not want a window unit hanging out the front of my house. This thing is the worst purchase I have ever made. I have had it less than 24 hours and I can already say that I regret my decision to purchase this unit. This is probably fueled by the lack of sleep from this thing keeping me up all night. It is LOUD. I thought- how much louder can it be than a window unit? The answer is very. It vibrates the floor despite being elevated and on a cushion. I worry my neighbors are going to complain. I couldn't fall asleep. I couldn't stay asleep. I guess its ok because I was cool? So it did its job there. It is NOT EASY TO MOVE. Portable? No way. The window piece it comes with has a million air holes that have to be blocked up. Once it is taped up, weather stripped, etc, it is a PITA to move to another spot in your house. I guess I could get a second window vent but I don't want to spend any more money on useless junk. Incredibly inconvenient. TLDR; Unit is LOUD and NOT very portable. Thumbs down.

My AC's compressor went off and this baby saved my life!!!

This is my second INSIGNIA ac. The 400 sq ft model from last year is better. I bought this for my apt sized bedroom and I’d have to turn it in an hour in advance and close the room up to actually feel it. Was kind of disappointed. The 400 sq ft one was way stronger. And this didn’t come with the vent panel which made it impossible to install. I wasn’t too happy. I still believe in this brand. But this product I would not buy again.

Pretty good but not as cold as other portable ac units I've had set to same temperature (if that's what you are after.)

Pretty good, but doesn’t look the best when you are trying to put it in a good location that fits. The back part of the exhaust can get in the way when trying to put it In a corner.

Only reason it’s not a 5 star Is because I wish I had more direct control of the air direction. It does cool the room, though. Mission accomplished.

Now this product was good really good. It had a remote and because they made a mistake as I was sold a bad tv and I took it back they gave me a little break on it. But you can tell they are so scared of their boss they blame what they can’t do which is nothing for the customer. They blame their boss. Be a grown up and say you can’t do it. Selective Managment needs people skills

Had to have something while waiting on hvac install

I don’t believe the controller is the one that belongs to the air conditioner itself as there are certain buttons that just don’t work when I push them and it’s not the same controller as shown in the instructions. I also can’t adjust the fan to low medium and high it stays on high the whole time. Because I like to have my windows open when possible I thought this would’ve been the best option instead of a window air conditioner, but I was wrong

Not too loud and works great! Love the swing feature!

You might need and extra tube if you have a higher window, the one included isn’t too long

Works great for my small room. I love the fact that it has different setting options, and the cooling effect is top notch

Get it? Dinged 1 star because the remote thermostat requires line of site which renders it completely useless.

Great AC for my old house with windows that don't allow for a window unit!

Not that cold. Small area only. Easy install though.

So loud it wakes the dead. Literally shakes the walls when it turns on to the A/C. Fan is loud as well, but not as loud as the A/C.
