Does the job and does it well. Easy install, easy to use, and the remote is nice too. My only complaint is that it is pretty loud. Not unbearable but loud enough to disturb me when I am doing other things.

I picked up the Insignia portable air conditioner from Best Buy during a heat wave, and it made a huge difference right away. Setup was quick and easy—took about 10 minutes to get it running. This A/C unit is so easy to install and works so well! It's made such a difference in a large bedroom! The unit is heavy, but the wheels make it easy to move around. It's not super quiet, but it triggers on and off as needed based on the coolness of the room. I'm really grateful to have it.

I have it in my living room which is bigger than 300 sf and it cools it within a matter of minutes. Very easy installation. You should expect some noise level but come on its a machine what do you expect. Works great will be buying another for my room. And possibly another one of our rooms.

This thing is great! We share a house and rent the basement however the house only has 1 ac control unit so to cool the entire house leaves the ac unit running ALL day nearly I use it primarily at night while I'm sleeping but it keep the room a cool 68 degrees and has actually lowered our electricity bill! The biggest down falls are 1.)is it is actually fairly loud but that doesn't bother me much unless I'm watching a movie but that's what sound bars are for am I right! And 2.) the vent tube is about a foot to short so I have to put it on a stand.

I purchased this air conditioner because my apartment doesn't have A/C and our casement window design will make it difficult for a window air unit. It is small and powerful! Small enough to fit almost everywhere and powerful enough to cool the room for an adequate timing.

I've been using this portable air conditioner for a couple of weeks already and so far so good. It's not obnoxiously loud but it is loud if you can't sleep with too much noise. We have hardwood floors in our bedroom and found that putting a small rug underneath it, helps with the sound. It definitely keeps us cool and has great features. This unit also has a dehumidifier built in but we dont have any intentions on using that part of it. We have central air but didn't want to have to lower that for the whole house when we really only wanted a much cooler environment while sleeping. I would totally recommend this unit to anyone.

This thing saved us when our central air broke and had to be replaced. It kept our medium sized bedroom very cold. It’s not quiet by any means, but it’s not so loud that’s it’s obnoxious or would keep you awake. I liked that it was easy to set up and installing the exhaust in the window takes no time.

Works for my small apartment. East to set up and move from window to window. Biggest downside is thaf it is pretty loud.

This is the second portable AC I’ve set up this year and this one by far was easier, especially the hose connections which snap into place securely. Seems to be cooling down my small bedroom and going into the hall and second bedroom as well. The “follow me” button on the remote seems to be tied with “swing” which opens and closes the vent, only small issue so far.

Works great, cools the rooms fast! Not to loud. Easy to set up!

This is a good product for the price. Make sure you know the room size you need it for. It's a very heavy product. It's not easy to transport. It's pretty simple to put together and use though. It is VERY LOUD. It's not complaints from the neighbors loud, but it is turn up the TV to Grandpa and Grandpa level loud. My only two complaints are that it's very loud and that there is no energy saver option. I wish that it would turn off automatically when it reached the desired temperature. It doesn't seem to use too much electricity since my energy bill is about the same. Overall if you're looking for a decent product and not looking to spend $500, this is worth it.

This AC was an excellent choice. It worked great and kept room nice and cold . I love that it has a remote for easy adjustment. It exceeded my expectations. Also very easy to install and the design also makes for easy storage during winter.

I bought this when it was discounted $70 bucks. This AC cools down my room quickly in a matter of minutes & I stay in the master bedroom. The only drawback is that it’s a bit loud but that seems to be the case with every AC I’ve boughten. Do not waste your money on more expensive ones, buy this one!

I love this product, especially for the summer. It makes the house extra cold, we have it in the master bedroom but it keeps the whole house cooler than usual. It pretty much fits on every window we have installed it on. It comes with a remote and has multiple settings. It is a little loud but I have heard louder ones. I have no had any problems with it.

Fills up pretty fast but overall easy to use and portable. Cools and oscillates for a small apt does what it needs to. Bought for my Mother, Downside was pretty heavy moving by myself up two flights of stairs( should of had delivered) and frequency of water dump…. Put a pan underneath to cover yourself

We bought it so we can cool just our bedroom at night and not use the central air for the whole house. The central air is great for the main living areas in this house, but the master bedroom is always warm. So we wanted to be able to sleep and not pay to super cool the living room. This A/C unit cools the bedroom down beautifully. But a band could be performing in the living room and we wouldn't know it. This item is LOUD. Yes you get used to it as the waves of cool flow over you, but be prepared for the loud. We've had it for just over a month now and we were completely used to the noise after a couple of nights.

I've never owned a portable AC. I purchased this one because if fit the space I needed it for and it was on sale. The set up was easy and it operates without issue. It cools the room down nicely and the fan runs wells just on its own too. Its not too loud by any means, I found it to be quieter than the window AC I have. The remote control it comes with I find a little annoying to use, going between the settings it a little cumbersome and I likely won't use it much. So far I'm a fan. I'd recommend it if you have the floor space for it.

This summer has been a wild one. Fortunately, this unit was as simple as take it out and plug it in. Cool sailing from there on

First the good: I was happy to see that I did not need anything else for window installation. I installed vertically and my windows are 59 inches tall. I believe the window device could go as wide as 62 inches. I also like that when this reaches desired temp, it shuts off. Others I have go into fan mode, and I like the shut off. Most importantly it does the job. The room it's in is probably under 300 sqft, but it has vaulted ceilings, and it definitely gets down to 71° F with no issue. Now the annoyances: The exhaust hose is no where near long enough, and I was forced to buy an extension. There is a buzzing noise not present in any other portable AC I use now, or have ever used. It's pretty annoying, but not necessarily unbearable. I cannot disable the beeping sound the remote makes. If I adjust it, even the neighbors 3 blocks over know what I'm doing. Don't portable ACs make enough noise, why are we adding more noise. Well that's it, all and all not terrible for the price, but Insignia has some work to do for the next model. I probably wouldn't recommend this, as I fell like for a little more you might not get the buzzing sound.
