Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I realize some may have had good experiences not us. Thing needs to be drained about every 2 hours. Attempted to connext the hose and use a 5 gallon bucket thing filled up in about 45 mins of use. I understand this could be due to high humidity but ive returned it and got another brand and its the complete opposite. For some reason thing just produces too much water. Even when draining it it leaked out the front all over my carpet. Will never buy another insignia product after this waste of $300 trash. Dont listen to all those bot reviews. Only gave it 2 stars because the air was cold for the small intervals i used it for before i was sidetracked with annoying beeping until i drained it.

Pretty powerful airflow for our master bedroom which is quite large. It kept us cool and more importantly the wife from having a mental breakdown. We didnt have any vertical opening windows, just french doors so we improvised and used plywood and made a hole for the exhaust. Worked great.

My bedroom is 13x14ft so a 6000 BTU unit meets my needs. This unit has a lot of great features that make it stand out and for a decent price. Sadly when the compressor turns on it makes an audible "rattling" (I've come to find that any AC will do this). I'm a very light sleeper so that just wasn't going to work out. But aside that the unit is an awesome product and I still highly recommend it based on all the added features.
