This is my 2nd AC unit, We LOVE this. Its cools great. A bit loud to get used to but the pros outweigh the cons of noise.

I haven’t tried it in larger rooms so can’t comment on that, but it works great in a small room. My only complaint is that the hose that comes with it is a little short and barely reaches my window. It’s hard to keep it in the window kit that I bought for my crank window. But it makes my room very cool.

it cooled our 15 by 35 room no problem it does require a big container for the evaporator water the set up was simple and it started working right away

It does the job. The remote has a weird delay and sometimes doesn’t work at all. It has a weird smell to it. Mine was open box or I would give it 1/5 but I do think it has to do with the machine on some level because it got worse for the next couple weeks (no it wasn’t on its side before opening and it is level). Honestly the biggest annoyance is how loud it is. Sometimes I turn it off to get a break. But it does cool the large living room and exercise room and being in an unfair conditioned apartment would be much worse.

Ice Cold during the summer of 2023. Easy set-up in the window without having to remove the screen. Detailed install instructions, detailed user operation. On wheels so no more hernias. I would buy it again.

Works well, got this for a good deal and its been nothing but superb. Cold, easy to install, and will be easy to remove as well!

Cools the room down quickly. Easy to use. Portable so can be wheeled to other rooms in the house.

Our AC compressor went down during a SC summer and this unit saved our lives. Easy to set up and works great!

Bought this item during an unbearable heat wave in the Bay Area. This is being used in a small apartment that is directly connected with the kitchen so it tends to get pretty warm inside. This worked well and kept the living room cool especially when people cook. Takes less than 10 minutes to install. The space takes about 30 minutes to get cool.

This is a Great Unit and I saved a Little money buying open box. The Remote is a Must for my use - since I'm using the unit in a Garage which is about 400 sq feet. I do a lot of Hobby Work in my Garage and this keeps it just Right for the simmer Heat, it only takes about an hour to drop the Temp about 4 degrees (84 to 80) which works for me.

Easy to set up. Can the air hose be positioned at the of the unit? A little loud, but liveable.

My AC went out recently on one of the hottest weekends this summer. I went directly to my Best Buy website and decided to purchase an Insignia Portable AC unit, and I was pleased to see that it was available at my local Best Buy. I made a curbside pickup the following morning, and had it home and set-up within the hour. One of the best purchases I've made this summer. I am really liking this AC! I have a converted attic bedroom and office and it's keeping up with the hot weather we have been having. A neat feature it has that I wasn't aware of when I bought it is the "follow me" button. It converts the remote to be the thermostat, so when you take the remote with you to the other side of the room it uses that as the thermostat, which is really helpful if you are trying to cool a larger room like mine which has an alcove area. Another plus is the improvement made in the way the exhaust hose is attached. I have had other AC units where you have to thread the hose onto the adapter, this AC has a plastic end already on it, so you just have to basically plug it into the unit and the window panel. It really makes it easy and more secure. The one criticism I would have is the way the window panels are attached. They have these plastic bolts that you put in to size the panels to your window. They didn't really stay in, so what I did was drill holes into the panels and secure them with screws and bolts so they were more secure.

Got t the floor unit for a great price! 200 is the right price for this product. Keeps the room chilled but the remote feature does work that great during the night when you can’t see the buttons

This unit is able to cool the entire downstairs of our house by itself, roughly 700 sqft. It helps keep our pets comfortable while we’re at work and at night we direct it towards the stairs to help cool the upstairs portion of the house. Easy too install.

Bought this when our AC went out upstairs. The unit was easy to install and it runs well. You do need to drain it to make sure that it doesn't overflow. Overall I would purchase this unit again.
