Nice little unit - Definitely worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this in my bedroom for almost a month. A window unit wouldn't work because the windows open vertically. It's been great! I've only used the low setting. The parts are more sturdy than the last portable unit I had from another company. Some people might think it's too loud but I've been sleeping with a white noise machine for 25 years. Plus, I occasionally have to use earplugs because my husband snores. LOL So the noise is fine for me.

Cools off the room
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works like it should. It is plugged into our generator for when the power goes out. We have an inverter generator so there is no damage to the ac unit. Not sure how it will work on an old school generator. We have it in our living room which is open to the kitchen. Approx 700-1000 sg feet and it has kept it comfortable for us. And we usually keep our home ac at 68 in the summer.

Pretty frustrated
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had it just 24 hours, but it stopped after running only about 14 hours. Powers up, lights on, but will not run on any setting (fan, cool, auto), makes a very slight humming sound for about two seconds, then off for a few seconds, repeating that cycle. No water in unit, no issue with power. Have to return it unfortunately. Couple of thoughts... one, it does produce cold air (when working) and cools the room fairly quickly. Remote is nice, as is the timer feature. But as others have said, it is LOUD. Easily twice as loud as the one it replaced (which was a higher BTU unit). Oddly, there is no tech support number to call... just an email address on the website that promises a response within two days. Seems simple enough that they would be able to answer the phone for a five minute call to avoid a warranty return, but apparently not.

Works great in my small bedroom!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven’t tried it in larger rooms so can’t comment on that, but it works great in a small room. My only complaint is that the hose that comes with it is a little short and barely reaches my window. It’s hard to keep it in the window kit that I bought for my crank window. But it makes my room very cool.

Florida life saver
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use, well made, runs quiet, cools down very good, bought as our compressor on central air system was on back order. Sits in the closet, in case we have a problem again.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid equipment, easy to set up. Definitely matches its area of cooling. Tried larger space and struggled but was able to make a bedroom cool off with rest of house at 100 so life saver

We’re a big FAN of this unit
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit is able to cool the entire downstairs of our house by itself, roughly 700 sqft. It helps keep our pets comfortable while we’re at work and at night we direct it towards the stairs to help cool the upstairs portion of the house. Easy too install.

Nice Unit and well Priced
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a Great Unit and I saved a Little money buying open box. The Remote is a Must for my use - since I'm using the unit in a Garage which is about 400 sq feet. I do a lot of Hobby Work in my Garage and this keeps it just Right for the simmer Heat, it only takes about an hour to drop the Temp about 4 degrees (84 to 80) which works for me.

MUST BUY!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This baby is a CHAMP!! I'll be honest I was skeptical of purchasing it but so glad I did. It blows freezing cold air upstairs. After my purchase I thought I'd try another brand from another retailer to compare. I use it downstairs where the townhouse ac actually works better but the other ac blows cold air sometimes and NOTHING like this ac! I am returning it to buy another one of these!! If anyone needs a great portable AC this is it!!

Works greay so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this item during an unbearable heat wave in the Bay Area. This is being used in a small apartment that is directly connected with the kitchen so it tends to get pretty warm inside. This worked well and kept the living room cool especially when people cook. Takes less than 10 minutes to install. The space takes about 30 minutes to get cool.

Liking it very much
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am really liking this AC! I have a converted attic bedroom and office and it's keeping up with the hot weather we have been having. A neat feature it has that I wasn't aware of when I bought it is the "follow me" button. It converts the remote to be the thermostat, so when you take the remote with you to the other side of the room it uses that as the thermostat, which is really helpful if you are trying to cool a larger room like mine which has an alcove area. Another plus is the improvement made in the way the exhaust hose is attached. I have had other AC units where you have to thread the hose onto the adapter, this AC has a plastic end already on it, so you just have to basically plug it into the unit and the window panel. It really makes it easy and more secure. The one criticism I would have is the way the window panels are attached. They have these plastic bolts that you put in to size the panels to your window. They didn't really stay in, so what I did was drill holes into the panels and secure them with screws and bolts so they were more secure.

Insignia Portable Air Conditioner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Air conditioner was easy to set up. Instructions were clear. I like the ability to swivel the gate to change air flow. Usually cooled well, but on extremely humid days, had a difficult time keeping up.
