Works like it should. It is plugged into our generator for when the power goes out. We have an inverter generator so there is no damage to the ac unit. Not sure how it will work on an old school generator. We have it in our living room which is open to the kitchen. Approx 700-1000 sg feet and it has kept it comfortable for us. And we usually keep our home ac at 68 in the summer.

Wow this portable is easily installed and cool down large or small area very quick....worth every penny.

Very easy to install, works great. I wish I could say it's whisper quiet but no AC unit is. Love that it can be moved around and aimed in whatever direction is optimal. Haven't used the dehumidifier feature yet so I can't comment on that, but if you want a good AC unit, it's a bargain.

This is the 3rd unit I have purchased. They all function GREAT and easily cool the rooms they occupy. Easy to install and user friendly.

i own a single house with 2 floors. it's not a new house. the central AC can't push the air all the way to the farthest rooms on the 2nd floor. the AC technician suspects the pipe maybe broken or disconnect. the project will be huge to break the ceiling to check. i wouldn't do that. i also consider to add a window AC, but was recommended it will decrease my house value as most people don't like see a pipe hanging around the external wall. so as the final solution, i bought this one. my room is just around 15 square meters. so this one can perfectly cover every corner. it's not 0 noise, but comparing with LG(that i have another one in another room), the noise level is 30% lower, which is acceptable for me.

So far so good runs well makes my room extra cold had no problem putting it up. Had one missing screw off but replace it with small nail for the window kit. But other than that I use it for the room air conditioner and I'm loving it much. And yes it very big and it's well worth it.

Works quite well - does what it says it will do. A little noisy when the compressor is running, but nothing that is unexpected for a unit like this. It's sleek and I really like the "fan" motion that the unit has as well - ingenious idea to help circulate air more readily through the space.

This unit works great at cooling our bedroom that is poorly insulated. I think it’s a little loud compared to the window unit we had. The remote was supposed to work as a remote temps tire gauge but I don’t think that has ever worked right.

Purchased this for my bedroom. Works too well. It keeps the room cold and comfortable. The options are great - it has a humidifier, timer and remote to change those items. It wasnalso easy to install in my window. It had to use some gorilla tape to get it to stay, but that was an easy fix.

This baby is a CHAMP!! I'll be honest I was skeptical of purchasing it but so glad I did. It blows freezing cold air upstairs. After my purchase I thought I'd try another brand from another retailer to compare. I use it downstairs where the townhouse ac actually works better but the other ac blows cold air sometimes and NOTHING like this ac! I am returning it to buy another one of these!! If anyone needs a great portable AC this is it!!

Easy to set up, and it’s very quiet when running. This is the second one we have of the insignia brand and the other one is going on 3 years of use now

Was looking for a air conditioner for my apartment and saw this. Never had a non window hanging air conditioner before but this air conditioner works just as good .best part is being able to easily move it around to where i want it. Would definitely buy another.

Its a cheap mobile ac unit. It does the job well cooling down a room, even if its a little loud. You get the quality you pay for.

This is a solid choice for a portable AC. I like the remote. It is pretty easy to install. The only concern is the connectors are plastic and I wonder how long they will last before breaking. The air is cold and it is easy to operate.

Works exactly as I hoped & needed it to! Our window unit went our when it was horribly hot outside & we needed a replacement asap. Given our furniture & space allowance I wanted a portable unit. My boyfriend had serious doubts it would even work, much less come anywhere close to as good as a standard window unit. He was seriously surprised & complains of being cold now. My only complaint is the hose component that goes in the window didn't come with a screen type filter to keep birds or undesirable little things out of the hose, but that is an easy personal MacGyver project,

This A/C unit will cool down your house in minutes. It may not be as big as others, but it is REALLY efficient. It's also quieter than other brands, so it's not annoying at all. The remote has a thermostat, so when the remote is down to temp, it will stop cooling until it gets a bit warmer. Great product!

I got this for my room as it heats up easily in the summer and it keeps my room super nice and cold. Set up was easy and it only took 30 minutes great for small rooms!

Best item I’ve ever used! Easy to use and set the right temp. I use it in my RV to supplement the crazy heat of Vegas. Literally 120 degrees outside and it cooled my boys room easily to a comfortable 70 degrees. Didn’t take too much energy either
