I've used this unit a few times, it is very easy to set up and use. I keep it as a back up, I have central air in my home but you never know. I used it during a power outage spanning several days plugged into my generator, and I've lent it to a friend to use while their central air was being repaired. The remote is a little spotty, but I find that I don't use it much.

It’s as loud as you’d expect an AC to be but this unit has kept my bedroom like ice which is great for sleeping after nightshift.

We have extra large windows so traditional AC units do not fit. This one has worked perfectly in our son's room keeping his room nice and cool on those hot days. I appreciate the simple control panel that is hard to mess up.

Purchased this for our bedroom in our cape cod - after 5 years of hot flashes, I've had enough! This little guy, along with our ceiling fan has provided hours of comfort. Easy to install and easy to use! A remote control is also lovely.

Really great product but little loud but works perfectly for gaming room just keep 10 ft away won’t even hear it in the mic

My A/C went out when the temp in Texas was 99° F. I had to do something so I ended up buying 2 portable units. I bought this one and a Toshiba. Without question the Insignia worked as well as, if not better than, the Toshiba. It did a wonderful job of keeping the air cool enough to survive with a heat index of 108° and could keep it really cool when the temperature got down to the upper 80’s/low 90’s. My A/C is fixed now but this is staying in my closet in case of another emergency.

Cools down pretty fast, but it tends to leak a lot, and not there is a horrible smell coming from it. Please help

Works good in a room that is around 350 sq ft and very open. A little noisey but definitely was worth the price

Easy install. Works pretty good so far! Temps in the 110 this weekend so we will see how good.

While it was a bit of a headache to set up, this portable air conditioner has served me well all summer, keeping me comfortable in my small office when the temps outside were topping 100 daily. It does require the addition of a small hose if you want it to drip outside. Just make sure the unit is higher than the hose.

Gets my daughters room nice and cool, but it can get a little loud.

Had an LG portable and a Black and Decker unit although the B&D didn't last long I was worried the Insignia would also breakdown since it was inexpensive. I was wrong used this all summer running almost 24/7 I would say it was more than I expected cooling the room and I hope next year it performs the same.

Love this thing. I use it everyday, and I'm not easy on it either. Keeps my room ice cold with the door closed.
