I've got a pretty good sized bedroom and it does a great job cooling down the room. It's also not too loud which is great.

My room is about 300 sq. ft. in size, and I usually keep it set at 72 degrees with an average outside temp of 90. This makes the room pretty cool, although you can set it lower if you want it really cold. I drain it about once a week or so, and it usually drains about a coffee mug's worth of water,although I think you could skip it if you don't live in a humid area. It's resonable quiet although it's not in my bedroom but I think I could sleep with it on as there is a sleep mode.

The space is about 250 sqft so definitely overkill but i have no doubt that you can use this for a bigger space to cool it down. If you use the dry feature youll have to drain the system but i havent had to drain it on cool/auto.

Effective but Noisy

Overall happy with the purchase, but it's noisy!

Based on the reviews, I was afraid my apartment's electrical output wouldn't be able to handle the extra voltage, and click off . But no, installation was easy and so was/is operation. Just buy it and try it out first. Don't take the comments to heart. We all live in different areas.

Like under the blanket cold
