It drains my electricity (bill multiplied by x2.1 the month I had it on at all times) but it keeps the room comfortable and the area in its vicinity fairly chilly if you want it to. My studio is 250 sq ft and i wouldn’t use it in an area bigger than that if you want to feel cold. if you only care about not sweating, a bigger room would be fine.

I called Best Buy & was told I would need to return it if I wanted a remote. Otherwise we love this air conditioner we would recommend it, it cools very quickly & is quiet.
