Due to the age of my home, we do not have central AC and as a renter, I'm not willing to pay to change that. Furthermore, due to having vrry large slider windows, a typical window unit AC ia not an option. After a lot of researching and reading reviews I decided on this particular model and I am so happy with the choice I made! It has enough coming power ro cool off the entire 2nd floor (2 bedrooms, an office and the bathroom! This particular unit works so well that thw kids are constantly turning it off because they're "freezing". I was so happy with this purchase that I went back and purchased 2 more for the first floor of my home!

I do wish the cooling panel was a bit easier to install and the hose going to it a bit more flexible. Depending on your living setup, it can be a challenge - or it's a good indicator to declutter. ;)

a/c ok but dehumifier not reliable

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the unit is decent for air conditioner but instructions for dehumidifier is not clear, when on dehumidifier it blows hot air at the air outlet, when calling customer service and ask a resolution, they didn't have an answer, told me to go buy a 3/4 hose (not included)to drain the hole but that doesn't have anything to do with the hot air, they said the exaust hose has to be removed but for me it didn't make sense... so calling customer service is a waiste of time...the unit is very heavy and not easy to move around even with wheels, especially on carpet, the installation was easy though. but don't buy it for the dehumifier, cheaper to just get a portable a/c unit only...

I haven’t tried just the dehumidifier feature , but I will during the winter. I live in Southeast Texas where the humidity is high year around. I’ve only had the unit for a couple of months so I rated the quality as good. I’m waiting to see how it holds up the rest of the summer.
