We really have no comparison as it's our first portable A/C unit. It's a temporary fix until our heat pump is replaced. So far, so good and we have used it a good bit this summer. Prices are always too high. Also, the unit is not easily moved on any carpet and moving it can be cumbersome.

We opted to get a portable until ours could be repaired (it was 90 degrees in the house) Boy am I lad we did! The first night we started in up and by morning the temperature was down from 90 to 74!

Good Portable A/C

We were suffering with just a fan for this heat, we live in a two story home and my room is the hottest during the night. Now we sleep in peace just set up the timer and we’re good for the night. Does not get too cold

It was easy to install, and easy to operate but it doesnt get as cold as my last air conditioner. It keeps the room cool enough but if i have about 3 or for people in my room, i start breaking a sweat. I would look into a different air conditioner and skip this one.
